LUCK has been searching for a permanent home since 2018. After plans for a Cleveland stable could not move forward, we continued offering equine experiences at borrowed facilities. Then LUCK received a 75-year lease on 60 acres in Geauga County—an opportunity to create the permanent home we had imagined.
LUCK is exploring practical, financially responsible ways to build an equestrian facility that meets zoning requirements, supports our programs and responds to the condition of the land.
Rather than impose a finished plan on a recovering property, we are allowing what we learn—from the land, our partners and the people we serve—to guide what comes next.
The journey has taken longer than expected, but the vision has grown: a permanent place where people can ride, grow food, care for animals, restore the land and discover what can happen when everything is given the opportunity to thrive.
