LUCK and COVID-19: How we are kicking it

We wish we could say we’re on the cutting edge of a cure, but that’s not our mission. We don’t doubt that one of our students will find the key to unlocking the mysteries of science, given a little luck! Our last program occurred right before Gov. DeWine mandated shelter-at-home procedures. We have been following his orders and those of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). USEF cancelled all rated horse shows through May 31. Therefore, LUCK’s next program for students is tentatively scheduled on Saturday, June 6. If you are interested in volunteering OR attending, email info@luck4kids.org

Update on Urban Stable:

LUCK is excited to report that progress is being made on a partnership with the City of Newburgh Heights, CMSD and regional partners dedicated to sustainable use of the land to transform the district’s current agriculture/science high school site into an urban stable and more! The property will maintain its environmental and natural sciences function for CMSD while adding additional services for students and neighborhood residents. If you have any questions or would like more information please email info@luck4kids.org

Leg Up to Cleveland’s Kids, known as LUCK, is an urban equestrian program in Cleveland, OH, enhancing relationships through the healing power of horses.

We are not a therapeutic center, but a place where kids between the ages of 12 and 18 can come to find a safe space. A peaceful place where kids can learn to respect and trust those who care about them.

LUCK students are intelligent and motivated. They are hard workers who care about the horses they work with. We’re proud to give them a “Leg Up” within and outside of the horse industry.

Donations are vital to our organization. We are a registered 501c3 non-profit. It’s the donations from people who care about these kids are what keeps them working with and learning from horses.

We are happy to have your support in any form, in any amount!
